Rabbit N Tortoise Playschool – Review

Hello All,

This post is a review of Rabbit N Tortoise playschool based in Pimple Saudagar, Pune.

We were looking for a school for our 2.5 year old kid. Checked multiple schools nearby and zeroed in on Shloka and Rabbit & Tortoise which were near to our place.

Shloka, Pimple Saudagar was supposed to start their first batch in 2017 so when we visited there the construction of classes and other work was still underway.  The staff was courteous and guided us through the teaching methodology they will follow.   But since the branch was opening its first session that time so my wife was bit reluctant to send our kid over there. Though now we see a lot of kids in the school.

When we visited Rabbit N Tortoise what we saw first was the play area. It got a big covered play area with many toys. Our son instantly liked it and went to play.

The Center Head Mrs. Sakshi informed us about the curriculum and the fee structure.  Also she gave a quick tour of the school. We found the setup in school good.  So we decided get our son admitted in Playgroup of Rabbit and Tortoise  .

When we went to school on the first day of new session our son declined to enter the class and started crying a lot. Thus, after discussion with teachers we let him play in the play area. For the whole week this continued and he played only in play area.  At time’s he played with “Moushi”(Maids) and Teachers.  Slowly as he started recognizing the school staff he started going in class also.

It took around 2 to 3 weeks for our son to settle down but now he is very excited to go to school.

Overall I found the school good. Only suggestion I have is that instead of sending playgroup kids in classes from Day 1 they should let them all play in the play area for a month or so. Slowly kids will adjust with the change and accept the school staff also.

This review is written 1 month after our son started going school. Will keep on updating it regularly.

Mulshi Dam Near Pune – Review

We have recently shifted to Pune and I have started writing Pune Journal which is filled with our experiences in Pune.

In this post i am writing about Mulshi Dam.

On a lazy rainy Weekend this July we were looking for any place to visit nearby. While going through google I found Mulshi Dam.  Pune got lot of Dams nearby and monsoon season is the best time to visit them.

On a quick check on google maps I found that it’s only 1.5 hours drive from our place in Pimple Saudagar. So discussed with wife and she was instantly ready as she likes long drives in rains.  We packed some food to eat and off we went for our journey.

The road to Mulshi dam is mostly single road once you cross Megapolis, Hinjewadi.  Road is not in very good condition but is drive able. On our way to Mulshi we saw many young couples on bikes enjoying the rain. The road goes through some very scenic places good for some quick selfies.

We followed the google Maps and Near JP’s Food court it directed us to take a right.  When we took right we reached to an old bridge and can’t see any picnic spot as i saw in pics on google. We roamed around a bit and found few more people who followed google maps and reached there. No one had a clue of what to do over there.

We searched on google maps again and found a place called Tamhini Ghat. It looked decent from the pics but this time we asked some local also about the directions and they confirmed this time google is correct.

Off we go again, stopped in between a few times for some selfies and enjoy the corn in rain.  On the way we saw a place where the dam water is very close to road and people were enjoying there. As we crossed the Tata Solar Power plant we started seeing lot of traffic and suddenly it turned in to a jam. After seeing the jam we decided to turn around and go back to the place where we saw some people.

On reaching there we found that a kuccha road is going towards the lake. So we parked our car on the side and decided to walk with our young son.

As we moved near the water we found the place to be very beautiful and you will see small streams. We had fun in the stream specially our son enjoyed the most.   Slowly we moved towards the main lake. The cool breeze and light rains made the surrounding awesome.

This place has very less crowd and not a touristy place. The place is actually a dam reservoir so we decided to avoid going inside the lake itself. During rains when dam flood gates are opened water level rises very quickly. It’s advised not to go to this place if the water level is high or it’s raining heavily.

It’s best you enjoy in the small streams which are merging with the lake and don’t go inside the main lake itself.

On googling I found that the nearby area of this place is called Tata Talav. It’s before Mulshi Lake View hotel if you go from Pune.

Here is a google maps satellite view of the location.

It will be best that you wear walkers while going to this place as its slippery and wet. And some broken beer bottle glasses are scattered at few places. An umbrella will also be useful.

While coming back we had a good meal at JP’s food court. It’s a Pure veg hotel and serves good food at reasonable price.  Though service can be improved.

Do let me know in the comments section if you visit this lake, and how was your experience.

Have Fun! Be Safe!

Max Hospital Gurgaon Review

Here I would like to share my experience at Max hospital Gurgaon.

We visited max first when we were looking for a good gynecologist.

We already met  two doctors in Gurgaon but didn’t find their response satisfactory. So while looking for another doctor one of my friend suggested Dr. Deepa Dewan who sits at max Gurgaon and also at her private clinic.

Our first experience with max was good. After taking the telephonic appointment we visited max. While i made the payment for doctor fees, one of the nurse took stats of my wife like weight, BP etc.  After waiting for around 15-20 mins we were seen by the doctor.

Regarding Dr. Dewan what i found good was that she patiently listen to your queries and  replies to them very calmly. She speaks to the point and straight. My wife was comfortable after discussion with her.

Dr. Dewan gave us her number so that we can whatsapp her if we have any doubt or in case of emergency we can call her.  This is very helpful and make you think that you are not on your own and doctor is available to help you anytime.
